This article explains research into the use of web 2.0 interactivity to enable end user programming. The aim of this work is to make it possible for a much wider range of people to create online software, to perform the kind of tasks users often need to do. This approach can put web applications into widespread use and enable people to do more of their daily tasks using free and available software.
